Bios

  • Kristin Szlepcsik

    Kristin has been in the fitness industry and teaching Pilates for 15+ years. She has studied through IMX Pilates, Balanced Body Pilates, and Kinected school of Pilates in NYC. She has also completed her bridge training with Club Pilates. Some of her specialties are pilates and movement for spinal pathologies, hip, knee and shoulder rehabilitation, pre/post natal pilates, and balanced body MOTR training. She is also certified through the Pink Ribbon Program as a post operative breast cancer exercise specialist. Kristin has worked closely with Physical therapists and Chiropractors teaching post rehabilitative Pilates to patients. With her background in anatomy and movement she is able to take her knowledge to clients and help to improve their form and technique, allowing greater balance and strength within their bodies. Pilates is Kristin’s true passion! She loves that it is an exercise regimen one can grow with at any stage in life. When Kristin’s not in the studio, she is spending time with her husband Chris, and her two daughters Madyson and Emma. They enjoy playing soccer, hiking, and running local races together.

  • Karen Worobel

    Karen has always been active and athletic from early childhood through college. Tennis, soccer and gymnastics were activities she enjoyed immensely. After a long, sedentary career working on Wall Street, Karen turned to Pilates to help lengthen and strengthen weak back muscles. After a few sessions, Karen’s posture improved, her core was stronger and she discovered her new career. Karen became a certified instructor and now shares her passion with her students. Karen is Comprehensively certified by Pilates Academy International in New York City. She has also completed workshops in MS and Neurological Conditions, Post-injury Rehab, Pre and post-natal, Golf Conditioning and is certified by Titleist Performance Institute (TPI).

  • Sharon Jacobowitz

    I’ve been a Fitness Profesional trainer for over 22 years and teaching Pilates Reformer and Mat for over 16 years. I am certified through IM=X Pilates, PHI Pilates and Peak Pilates Reformer and Mat. Also completed bridge training and got certified in EXO chair, RTC, Springboard, Ladder Barrel, Spinal Corrector, and Magic Circle through Club Pilates when I came on board in June 2018. My other certifications include the following: AFAA Primary Group Fitness and Person Trainer, Barre Above and Booty Barre, Aqua, Kickboxing, Arthritis Leader and CPR/AED. I also have my B.S. in Accounting Degree from Stockton University. My passion is helping people move there body efficiently, improving their form and technique, working on improving their balance, strengthening there bodies through movements, and making clients and members feel good about themselves. Pilates is my passion because you can practice and grow with it at any stage of good life. I still love to teach all my other fitness classes because it is so important to cross train too. In my spare time I love to be with my family and my Chloe girl taking walks and hikes, going to the beach and read my book and also hanging with my friends.

  • Nancy Elkes

    Nancy has been teaching Yoga and Pilates for 20 years. She has studied yoga under Dana Flynn and Rodney Yee and studied Pilates under Kelly Kane and Kimberly and Katherine Corp. Her private practice thrives in NYC and Rumson NJ, and she continues to teach and develop programs for Crunch Gym, where she has been employed for 20 years. She has had experience as a guest instructor in teacher training programs and has traveled the country to guest teach in boutique spas. Her passion for teaching Pilates is fueled by witnessing the strength, confidence, and power her students gain when they connect to their core. Her classes focus on alignment and dynamic flow with a twist of humor and fun. "All that is important is that one moment in movement. make the movement important, vital, and worth living.   • Nicole Curcio

    Nicole lives by the importance of a healthy lifestyle. As a dancer from childhood through present day, Nicole is a huge advocate for body awareness and physical fitness. Though dancing is physically demanding in itself, Nicole consistently weight trains and practices Pilates. Nicole earned her BFA in Dance Studies and Minor in Journalism at LIU Post. While at university, she studied nutrition, kinesiology, and various movement study courses along with being a member of the on campus dance company and the Gotham City Cheerleaders in support of the New York Giants. Following her university studies, Nicole danced professionally with the Westchester Knicks Dance Team and choreographed an Off-Broadway show in the Theater District of Manhattan. In addition, she coached and choreographed the Rutgers Junior Knights Dance Team in their 2017 and 2018 seasons. Nicole trained at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan where she became a regular Pilates attendee. She found Pilates to be a great way to reset her mind and body, finding significant improvements in muscle discomforts from dancing as well as positive changes in everyday activities. Recently, Nicole completed the Club Pilates Teacher Training and received her teaching certification. She is eager to work with clients to help them meet their goals and find a better quality of life.
